RECONNECTED Annual Meeting 2025
Proud Progress, Proactive Planning
On 13–14 October 2025, the partners of the RECONNECTED project gathered in Valencia, Spain, for the annual consortium meeting under the theme “Proud Progress, Proactive Planning.”

Hosted by the Valencian team, the two-day event brought together consortium members from across Europe to reflect on achievements so far and coordinate the next steps. The project aims to evaluate a digital support system strengthening mental health wellbeing by fostering social connections and resilience through digital innovation.
Reflecting on Progress and Planning Ahead
The meeting provided a thorough overview of all work packages, including discussions on the ethical implications of using AI. Partners also reflected on the progress of the first study, as data collection had been completed at several sites, enabling an initial look at preliminary findings. These reflections helped to shape a shared understanding of how to proceed, informing the planning of the upcoming trial study, the main focus of the two days, and the current work of the RECONNECTED consortium. This also included discussions around the adaptation process to make the digital support platform relevant and engaging to diverse user needs and local realities. Throughout the meeting, participants exchanged experiences and ideas to support each other and ensure coordinated progress across the consortium.
Exploring Valencia Together
The first day concluded with a guided city tour through Valencia, giving participants a taste of the city’s history and architecture. The evening continued with an extended dinner at a rooftop venue, offering time to connect, exchange ideas informally, and enjoy panoramic views of the city.

Workshops and Forward Thinking
On the second day, the format was more interactive and workshop-based. For example, participants discussed how the project’s approaches could best frame and reach different target groups, such as young people, older adults experiencing loneliness, individuals with a low socioeconomic status, and migrant communities.
The discussions closed with a forward-looking session focused on how to ensure the project’s results and tools continue to grow, evolve, and be integrated into real-world settings beyond the project’s lifetime.

A Heartfelt Thank You
The RECONNECTED consortium extends its sincere thanks to the Valencian team for their excellent organisation, warm hospitality, and inspiring setting. Their efforts made the meeting both productive and memorable.
